The Traveling Bear
By, Erin

Earl, the polar bear, was tired of looking as nothing but snow and ice. There was snow as far

As he could see

“I’m tired of this snow,” Earl told his mother” I’m going to go where I can see something

Different”.

“But you are a polar bear,” said his mother

It didn’t matter to Earl. He packed up his things gave his mom a big juicy kiss and headed

Out the door

The first thing he did was swim to the U.S.A . His first was in California.

HE traveled throughout California. It took him about two long weeks to search all of the

California Mountains

During his long California travels, he saw several lost dog signs, and it occurred to him that he

Could put up signs telling about his lost friend.

Earl decided to go to a computer store , and when he walked in, everyone in the computer store became

very quiet and still. The customers in the computer store begin to look at Earl with

Frightening eyes. When Earl tried to talk to the customers in the store ,the only thing that came

Out of his mouth was” roar, roar, roar”.

The computer store manager called animal control for help with the bear. The person

Anwering the phone at the animal control office, said” that he was afraid of bears because

Bears eat people” Then he hung up the phone . The bear made his sign

Using one of the computers, and left the store.

The sign was suppose to read” I’m missing my friend Bob , if you see him please contact me in the
"North Pole," intead it ended up saying " I'm micing mya frnd bob u see hymn please conkt
mee in tha North Pole . He made about 1,000 signs, but no one could help because they
couldn't read the sign with the misspelled words. So, Earl felt like he had done a good job looking
for Bob
Finally , he saw some children playing hide and seek .It came to him that Bob was
playing hide and seek, so he traveld back to the North Pole. There he found Bob hiding in
his house.
